Review of Glasgow game

Posted on

Following the longest off season in living memory it was great to get back to playing and winning rugby.

The first game of the season has historically been a bit of a challenge, however, the away fixture to Hawks showed how well pre season has gone and the boys knuckled down from the start.

With Iain Wilson leading from the front their were excellent performances across the park and a huge shift from the pack that kept Hawks on their toes for the whole game

Heriot’s Blues also won comfortably against GHA, however, the newly formed Ferry Road Wanderers found things tough against a well drilled Peebles 2nd XV. This was the first time a Stewart’s Melville and Heriot ‘s team had come together and we have high expectations as the season goes on.

All three teams are at Goldenacre on Saturday so a full afternoon of rugby, get along for lunch and make a full day of it.
