Review of Accies Game

Super 6 comes early – 11 months before the official launch.

Step up to the stage Craig Robertson writing his own piece of history, dotting down for 6 tries on Saturday at Raeburn Place. An outstanding achievement that takes him to the top of the try scoring chart and was the corner stone of a win that consolidates a top 3 position in the Premiership.

The statisticians will be checking through the archives to find the last time a double hat trick was scored in a top flight Scottish club game – one suspects they ll be going back quite a few years and its not likely to happen again any time soon so hats off to Robbie.

Ayr on Saturday will be a different kettle of fish and we will have to dig deep to bring the McLaren Shield back to Goldenacre. Having won 4 games at Millbrae, Ayr now take the shield on the road and it’s fantastic that Heriot’s get the first opportunity to take it off their hands.

It was quite an afternoon on Saturday with all three teams away from home and all three coming away with healthy 5-point wins so there’s plenty to look forward to this week end.

The 1st XV and Blues hosting Ayr – kick offs at 15:00, with Ferry Road Wanderers playing Caledonian Thebans at Inverleith at 15:00.

Lunch can still be booked through the usual channel – enquiries@heriotsrugbclub.co.uk– The Bear is back in the driving seat so buckle up and get ready for a fantastic day of sport and entertainment.
