All you need to know for tomorrow’s game

Posted on

With Goldenacre hit by the adverse weather over the last few days it will come as no surprise that our pitches are unplayable. Although it has been necessary to postpone the 2nd XV match, the Investec sponsored Heriot’s 1st XV match V Currie Chieftains will go ahead at Oriam Scotland (Heriot’s Watt University’s fantastic indoor sports pitch at Riccarton) in the first ever indoor match in the BT Premiership.

Match kick off is at the earlier time of 14:00.

This is a crucial game for both teams with Heriot’s needing a bonus point win to have a chance to qualify for the premiership playoffs so please come along and offer your support to the team. There is spectator viewing for up to 500 people so all are most welcome.

There will be no car parking at Oriam itself but parking is available at the Riccarton Park & Ride. It is a five-minute walk from there to the sports facility at Oriam. Lothian bus numbers 25 or 34 will take you there.

Entry is free to Heriot’s Rugby Members, please remember to bring your membership card, £10 for non-members and £5 for concessions. U18s are free.

Although this fabulous facility is indoors it is not fully heated so please dress warmly. There is a café adjacent to the pitch which will be open during the game.

We look forward to seeing as many supporters as possible tomorrow for what promises to be an open, fast game of rugby and probably one of the very few live sports games being played tomorrow in Scotland.
