The former Kirkcaldy and Aberdeen Grammar FPs player, who captained the Scotland Club XV against Ireland and France and helped Heriot’s win the cup in 2014, moved to Australia at the end of that season to break into the professional game. This call up will follow his debut in Round 4 against the Chiefs at AAMI Park.
The game will be played at nib Stadium in Perth on Friday night from 9.55pm (AEST).
Rebels head coach Tony McGahan has made eight changes to the 23-player team for the penultimate round of the 2017 Vodafone Super Rugby season.
Friday’s fixture will be the first meeting of the season between the Western Force and Melbourne Rebels.
Little has separated the two sides in the history of rivalry with 11 of the 12 previous fixtures ending in a margin of a converted try of less.
The Rebels made a clean sweep of the two fixtures last season against the Force with a 25-19 win in Perth in Round 1 followed by a 22-17 win in Round 14 in Melbourne.
