Season 2015/16
Heriot’s 22 – 20 Melrose (League Playoff Final)

Another Quality Weekend

Another quality week end at Goldenare saw the 1st XV see off Edinburgh Accies – 27 17 – in the Cup and the mighty twaes extending their lead in the league by hammering Selkirk 2nd XV – 50 0.

Heriot’s – ably led by stand in captain Jason Hill – got off to a flyer, scoring 3 tries in the first 20 minutes and were then content to see what Accies could throw at them before comfortably closing out the game with a penalty try.

The 2s initially found it harder to break down a stuffy Selkirk side before finding their feet and scoring at will from all over the park. With Boroughmuir losing to Aberdeen the 2s have extended the lead in the reserve league to 12 points.

3s game was postponed – Watsons playing a touring side instead.

With a complete break this weekend it gives the players time to recover and rest from niggling injuries before we play Lasswade at Goldenacre on 24th November. This is the stage in the season that appears a bit fractured so keep checking the website for up to date information on matches and events.
