After a break over the summer the Heriot’s Rugby Business Club will be restarting on Friday 28th September with a start of the season offer for you as a previous Business Club attendee to bring along a guest for £5.
Our guest speaker this month is Alan Cochrane; Scottish Editor of the Daily Telegraph. with a talk on “Brexit; Theresa May; and the impact on Scotland”.
Alan was born in Dundee and educated at Grove Academy in the city’s Broughty Ferry area. He entered journalism as a sub-editor and reporter for DC Thomson before joining the Daily Express in Glasgow. Between the mid-1970s and the mid-1990s he was based in London, covering political issues across a number of newspapers. In 1994 he was appointed as Editor of the Scottish Daily Express before becoming Deputy Editor of the Scotland on Sunday. In the late 1990s he became a columnist at the Daily Telegraph before taking up the role as its Scottish Editor
Please meet at 0730 for breakfast whilst networking. Alan Cochrane will speak at 0750 and there will be an opportunity for a Q&A with Alan. The meeting will conclude with further networking and will be finished by 0845.
Business Club tickets cost £25 per person, or £30 you both yourself and a guest, and include a hot and cold buffet breakfast.
