A sunny day away at Mayfield saw the newly formed Heriot’s Blues Men in their first competitive league fixture of the season.
We started extremely well and dominated the first half. By half time the Blues were up 33 points to nil. Great credit however to Dundee who came back fighting shortly after half time to gain a bit more possession and in last 20 minutes brought the score back up to finish 24 – 47 with both teams gaining a bonus point. A good first win for Heriot’s Blues Men.
A great overall performance in his Blues debut from, former Heriot’s School pupil, Fin Hutchison awarded him man of the match. Sadly Fin lost the pint downing against the Dundee man of the match!

Ferry Road Wanderers will be hoping to play this Saturday, 14th, at Roseburn against the Caledonian Thebans having had their first game cancelled on Saturday past, due to their opposition Boroughmuir B2s having insufficient players, although this has awarded FRW the match win.
