Coach’s comments on selection
Neil Cochrane is released by Edinburgh and Liam Steele makes a timely return from injury, the rest of the squad has a familiar look to it.
Coach’s comments on match etc:
All Cup finals are special, the fact that it is the first of two back-to-back ones for the club is bringing some extra excitement to the squad. Training has been of a high quality and I sense the boys simply cannot wait for the 17:45 kick off.
Melrose will bring a lot to the party and we know that if we don’t cope with their areas of strength we will have a tough afternoon. At the same time if can get our rhythm going quickly we can pose our own problems on Melrose. In short, if both teams get up and running quickly there should be a cracking game on show.
Come and join us at the Cup Final on Saturday 16 April at the Heriot’s Fan Zone in the Saughtonhall Car Park – look for the BMW sail next to the Green Man & Van vehicle where the blue and white will be in abundance for our pre-match festivities. Tickets can be collected at the Fan Zone.
The fun starts at 14:00 there will be some refreshments and soft drinks supplied. The unofficial “Heriot’s Steel Band” will be warming up so bring along an instrument – tin cans, metal spoons, whistle, rattle etc. and we will go into the stadium en masse around 17:00 for the final which kicks off at 17:45
ALL proceeds from tickets purchased via Heriot’s Rugby Club are kept within the Club so make sure you buy them from Natasha Breen, who will be at the Heriot’s Fan Zone form 14:00. We do not receive anything from tickets sold at the Murrayfield ticket office or the turnstiles. Buy your tickets here:
Getting tickets for yourself, your friends and family is a fantastic way to offer both moral and financial support to our Club.
£10 for adults and £5 for under 18s and concessions.
