Review of Accies Game

Posted on
A cold, wet and windy afternoon did not lend to an open flowing game of rugby and so it came to pass.

Heriot’s seemed to have forgotten it was an early kick off as Edinburgh Accies roared in to an early lead with a penalty and unconverted try, however, two quick scores of our own and all seemed well with the world. In the lead up to half time it was Accies who were in the ascendancy and having scored two tries of their own took an eight point lead to the changing rooms.

A few stern half time words and a couple of personnel changes made all the difference with Heriot’s scoring 17 unanswered points in the worst of the weather to escape a potential banana skin and gain a place in the next round of the cup – draw on Thursday 29th November – which will take place in the New Year. More details to follow.

This week its back to league action with all  three teams at Goldenacre and all with 14:00 kick offs.

1sts taking on Edinburgh Accies, the Blues are up against Hamilton and the Ferry Road Wanderers playing Lismore/Portobello. With the unveiling and presentation of the new FRW strip and a full house at the Investec-sponsored lunch it should prove to be another fantastic day at Goldenacre.
