The cup may have lost a bit of its glamour when it was deemed that only Premiership and the top 6 National 1 teams should participate, however it should not be underestimated what it means to those participating.
Jed put on a fantastic day at Riverside and Paul and his team should be congratulated for the work that has gone in to making Jed the most hospitable club in the borders.
While the game was over as a contest by half time it would have been easy for Jed to fold but the boys rolled up their sleeves and gave us a bit of our own medicine scoring some excellent tries in the process. The win takes us in to the semi final where we play Hawick at Goldenacre on Saturday 30 March.
The FRW maintained the pressure at the top of league with a comfortable win and with a massive game against Edinburgh Accies this weekend anyone looking for some lunchtime rugby should get along to Raeburn Place on Saturday for a 12 noon kick off.
Semi finalists in both Cup and league, Blues winning their league and FRW fighting out the league title means there is plenty left to play for at Goldenacre so come along and enjoy the best of club rugby.
