Review of Melrose Game

Our Cup run came to a somewhat premature end on Saturday with Melrose taking the spoils and the disappointment was there for all to see, however, this is the first time in 4 years we have failed to make the semi final so plenty to be proud of down Goldenacre way.

And so to the Premiership. Heriot’s or Currie? Whether our season carries on is now out of our hands. Having completed our league campaign it is down to Currie to see if they can dislodge us from fourth spot in the Premiership. All eyes are on Meggetland on Saturday when Boroughmuir take on the men from Malleny and Its all set to be an intriguing encounter with Currie requiring not only the win but also a try bonus to claim the last play off place. Do they go all out for the tries, do they play the patient game and try to win the game first and how will Boroughmuir respond? Both teams like to throw the ball about so plenty for the coaches to ponder. Kick off is at 13:30

Heriot’s 3rd XV are in action on Saturday against Haddington at Goldenacre also with a 13:30 kick off, so get along, support the boys and then enjoy the Calcutta Cup match on the big screen in the clubhouse. What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
