The stars of the show this weekend were the Ferry Road Wanderers who played in their new strips for the first time on Saturday with the presentation of the strips being made by British and Irish legends Ken Scotland , Andy Irvine, Iain Milne and Jim Calder.
The game lived up to the billing with some fabulous open flowing rugby and Callum Davidson scoring 4 tries in the first 20 minutes resulting in a comprehensive win over Lismore/Portobello.
The Blues initially found a full strength Hamilton side hard to break down, however, after putting in all the hard work in the first half were able to exploit more opportunities in the second half and ran out very comfortable winners which cements their place at the top of the league.
The 1st XV made hard work of seeing off a spirited Accies side desperate to secure their first win of the season. The bonus point win being secured late in the second half after a huge amount of territory and possession.
All of which sets up nicely for a trip to Ayr and a shot at the league leaders on Saturday.
