A fantastic weekend for Heriot’s Rugby all round!
In appalling conditions of horizontal rain and gale force winds Heriot’s 1st XV turned in a masterful 2nd half performance over Hawick to score 21 unanswered points and a bonus point win with last play of the game. Final score 5 – 29. This has resulted in a 2nd place finish in the Premiership and us securing a home tie against Currie on Saturday 23 March. Kick off will be 15:00 and we will be running a pre-match lunch in the clubhouse.
Heriot’s Blues completed a memorable season by beating Hawick Force 36 points to 12 and being presented with the trophy for winning Tennent’s National Reserve League Division 1; undefeated at home and losing only 2 games in total.
Ferry Road Wanderers won 72 – 22 at home in another entertaining game cementing their 3rd spot in the league with 4 games still to play.
Heriot’s Ladies made an excellent start to their Cup campaign at Goldenacre with a 43 – 8 victory over Kelso.
Well done to all the players for their excellent performances.
Exciting times still to come at Goldenacre:
